Nance Co. Sheriff's Department

The Nance County Sheriff's Department, employing seven sworn officers and five support personnel, serves the citizens of Fullerton. Equipment owned by the department includes an ATV and eight vehicles. Protection is provided to existing businesses by security checks. The crime rate per 1,000 population in Nance County in 2007 was 3.9 compared to a state crime rate of 41.0 and a national rate of 41.2.

Troop B of the Nebraska State Patrol, headquartered in Norfolk, has seven officers who serve Fullerton and the surrounding area.
